They produced the bricks and terracotta that architect had sought

The Imperial Hotel was designed by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright. In the lobby, bricks with ornamental perforations and intricately designed terracotta created a majestic play of light and shadow.

Chozaburo Ina, the founder of INAX, and his father Hatsunojo were invited as technical advisors to the hotel’s exclusive factory for their extensive expertise and artistic sensibilities in ceramics.

Fully exerting their abilities, they successfully produced all the bricks and terracotta with the exact hues and expressions that Wright had sought.
